Exploring how visual communication can make complex knowledge accessible, engaging and meaningful.
Teaching has been an integral part of my design practice. From 2015 to 2018, I taught graphic design, visual didactics and information design at HEAR and the University of Strasbourg, working with Bachelor’s and Master’s students on projects connecting design with science, medicine, culture and research.
My teaching approach combines visual experimentation, research and design methodology, encouraging students to translate complex subjects into clear and meaningful visual experiences.

At HEAR’s Visual Didactics department, I taught and supervised students working at the intersection of graphic design, illustration, science and knowledge transmission. Through research, visual experimentation and collaborations with scientists and cultural institutions, students explored how complex subjects could be transformed into accessible visual narratives, publications, interactive objects and spatial experiences.

Selected Student Projects:
A visual didactics project exploring how plant biology can be understood through interaction, movement and paper engineering. Students researched botanical phenomena and translated them into illustrated pop-up books, combining scientific accuracy with visual storytelling and physical interaction.

Teaching at the intersection of visual communication, anatomy and medical knowledge. Students developed the observational, research and representation skills required to communicate biomedical information accurately while considering clarity, audience and context. The program combined visual didactics with anatomy and medical illustration.

A student exhibition exploring human evolution through visual didactics and information design. Developed in collaboration with paleoanthropologists and scientific experts, the project translated complex research into accessible visual narratives, illustrations and interactive experiences for a broad audience.

A student project exploring the history, architecture and archaeology of three Alsatian castles — Ortenbourg, Haut-Andlau and Guirbaden. Through visual didactics, illustration and interactive objects, students translated historical and architectural research into accessible and engaging experiences for a broad audience.

Alongside my teaching at HEAR, I taught graphic and information design at the University of Strasbourg’s Faculty of Arts, working with students at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
My courses and workshops combined research, visual methodology and design practice, with a particular focus on transforming complex cultural, scientific and academic subjects into structured and engaging forms of visual communication.

Selected Student Projects:
A series of student projects exploring the legacy of Jean Hermann, naturalist, scientist and educator, through information design and visual storytelling. Students worked from historical and scientific material to develop contemporary ways of making his research, collections and approach to knowledge accessible to new audiences.

A visual and editorial project exploring Hermann’s curiosity, collections and scientific practice. The project uses graphic design and museum mediation to create an accessible narrative around his relationship with observation, classification and the natural world.
